The spokesman for Hamas’ Qassam Brigades, Abu Obeida, said on 14 January that the Axis of Resistance plans to “step up” operations on all fronts in support of Gaza.

“We have been informed by various sources within the resistance fronts that they are seeking to expand their strikes against the enemy in the coming days in light of the continued aggression on Gaza,” Abu Obeida said on Sunday evening.

“We salute the loyal striking hand of our nation's fighters in the generous and heroic Lebanon, and in the wise and faithful Yemen, and Iraq, and all arenas of our nation … We mourn our nation's martyrs, and we bless their efforts and contributions,” the spokesman added.

Obeida’s speech came on the 100th day since the start of Israel’s genocidal war against Gaza and as intense clashes raged across the south and central strip.

The spokesman also refuted the Israeli army's claim that it has struck several Hamas weapons depots across Gaza.

“Before October 7th, as part of our operational plan, there were no Qassam weapons depots anywhere in the Gaza Strip, nor do we have stockpiled missile platforms, which the enemy claims to have destroyed,” he said.

“The alleged achievements that the enemy announces about controlling or destroying what it calls weapons depots, what it calls ready-to-launch missile platforms, and what it claims are kilometers of tunnels, are a mockery to us … the day will come when we prove that these claims are false.”

Obeida added that the fate of many Israeli prisoners in Gaza remains unknown, as many have been killed, and said Israel bears responsibility for this.

Over the past two days, the Qassam Brigades and other groups have inflicted heavy losses on the Israeli army in the southern city of Khan Yunis and near the Bureij and Maghazi camps in central Gaza.

Sunday's declarations came just hours after a speech by Lebanese resistance leader Hassan Nasrallah, in which he praised the “fierce resistance” put up by Hamas and other Palestinian factions and confirmed that the Lebanese front would not close until the assault on Gaza ends.

Hezbollah launched several operations against Israeli sites on the border on 14 January. Among them was an attack on the Kfar Yuval settlement, which inflicted “casualties including dead and wounded” soldiers, the group said via its media channel.

Iraqi resistance attacks on US bases in Iraq and Syria are ongoing, as is the Yemeni maritime war on Israeli shipping – which Sanaa has vowed to continue despite recent US-British attacks on Yemen.
